Our Objective
The object of the CIO is to promote good health among the public, with a focus on inactive individuals and communities, particularly those facingsocio-economic disadvantage or who are facing other barriers to participation, in particular by organising, providing, and supporting accessible physical activity and healthy recreation programmes and initiatives.
OUR GOVERNANCE
Our Vision is to create a healthier, more active UK by removing barriers to physical activity for underserved communities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to improve their physical and mental health.
The Board strategically guides the work of the OPF and offers independent governance. Its role is to provide:

BOARD MEETINGS AND MINUTES
The Board typically meets a minimum of four times per year. For urgent matters requiring approval, an extraordinary board meeting can be called, which may be held either via Zoom or in person.
